Yahoo provides an all-in-one web hosting solution for small businesses and individuals. They handle the technical details, you take care of your business.

Creating and maintaining a website comes with a lot more work than people are usually prepared to take on. This is why so many sites out there tend to fail and die out within the first few months of getting online. Those who are looking to get something set up will need to make sure that they use the proper hosting company to get ahead. This Yahoo Hosting review should easily point anyone in the right direction.

There are many different companies that all seem to offer a number of different options, features and plans. When looking around, a beginner can easily get confused as to which company they should sign up with. Yahoo seems to understand the new technology with the web these days and has created plans designed for beginners who need all the help they can get.

The hosting plans that individuals will be able to choose from are very simple. Each plan will offer a certain amount of space as well as functions that the user may or may not be able to use. The site owner will need to consider what is going to help them the most as well as what they can afford on a yearly basis before choosing.

Working with a service that is constantly experiencing downtime means that all sites on board are not making any money because no one can see them. When it comes to this service, if one Internet connection runs out, they have multiple backups that will be able to step in and connect immediately. This option never experiences any sort of downtime.

Yahoo Hosting should help out anyone getting started with their site and their overall business venture or vision. Working with this type of company will give individuals the reputability that they are searching for. If you want to get started now Yahoo is a good option.

Yahoo is for basic websites, not more, not less. I have been hosting my basic WordPress site with them for years, no problem. Are there better hosts out there? Probably there are. But what they provide me is jut enough. I actually like the simplicity of the control panel and how stuff is organized.

I would not recommend! I used the small business plan for 6 years prior to other hosting services like Godaddy.com and HostGator.com had become more popular and more reliable. They were good in the beginning and I went with them because Yahoo was a brand name I new and could trust. But things have changed.

Their prices are too high for hosting compared to other hosting plans. I was willing to stay with them because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of moving my site and saved emails.

However I was unable to because their are not very compatiable with WordPress. Because their PHP is outdated it is impossible to upgrade to the latest version of WordPress therefor creating security issuses with WordPress. Also they do not allow access to the .htacess file which provide access to change your links in WordPress to be complete search engine friendly.

My advice is to use GoDaddy.com or HostGator.com. I know alot of people usualy buy their domain via Godaddy.com and host it via HostGator.com.

Also I have contacted customer support for all 3 of the afforementioned. Yahoo has the worst customer service out of all of them. I even just got billed by Yahoo for the service I called in and canceled last month in Sept.

For some reason Yahoo required that I call in to cancel my account with them. Which I thought was strange for a company that size to require me to call in to complete the cancellation of my account. Even after calling in and the customer service cancelling my account I still was billed. Even though NO PREMIUM services showed in my account and my domain had already been moved.

When I called in today after being charged in error again. The representative even argued with me! Couldn’t believe it. If you are trying to win back a customer having your representative disagree is not the way to do it, Yahoo.

I have called Godaddy’s customer service and they are pretty good. But I think HostGator’s email customer support is perhaps the best. Very quick response!

I used Geocities website hosting since 1997, then it turned to Yahoo and I continued to host my site with a small business membership. I have 100+ pages to my website, many pages are informational, and I have always published them with Microsoft Frontpage. All of a sudden I cannot connect to my website with Frontpage because Yahoo has disabled the Frontpage extensions because Microsoft has discontinued supporting them. This leaves me to now find another website hosting company which continues to support Frontpage in order to continue publishing my website. Yahoo gave me no notice before disabling the Frontpage extensions. Yahoo is very unprofessional towards it’s customers.

I am generaly satisfied with Yahoo and glad I went for a big brand name. The only bad thing I can come up with is the outdated PHP version an sometimes bad CSS. I guess they do not upgrade their servers regularly. Overall I would recommend them.
